The
John Miller Orchestra
Artist
Steve Harper Says : "Posibly the most wonderful
sound in the world, with the man at the centre of the stage bringing us the Best
Big Band sound in the World. Its an honour to Know John and to call him our friend,
with his wonderful sense of humour. A glint in his eye that gives him a very individual
charm. A real Gentleman with an amazing tallent that brings the music to life.
Adored by my Family and an inspiration to many (not to mention a certain Artist).
If you haven't listened to him in concert you havent lived.Thank you for bringing
the musis to life John in the special way that only you can."
About
The John Miller OrchestraJohn Miller took over the
direction of the band from his Father Herb and his unique brand of Yankee showmanship,
humour and personality have given it a reputation of "a good time for all" (including
the band). John has the uncanny ability to reach a crowd whether it is in the
small confines of a smokey bar or the vast expanse of Hyde Park to ten thousand
plus.or at the Glenn Miller Festival. John is joined on stage by vocalist Fiona
Paige whos fabulous voice brings the magic to numbers like Chattanooga Choo Choo
and I've Gotta Gal In Kalamazoo. Fiona brings professionalism, energy and an incredible
yet beautiful voice to the best Big Band in the world. She is a show in herself.
To see her is to love her. The Orchestra has extensively toured in the UK, France,
Belgium, The Canary Islands and the Scandinavian Countries, to name a few, recreating
the classical Glenn Miller sound for the pleasure of thousands of listeners, so
keeping alive the family connection with the music of John's uncle, Glenn. -2007.jpg)
